How to Keep Your Hair Healthy and Thriving

Your hair is your essence. Just as a great hairstyle can make or break an outfit, healthy hair can make you feel your best—and weak, stunted hair can make you feel your worst. If you are experiencing hair loss or damage, don’t spiral! There are plenty of ways to restore your locks.

It is super frustrating when your hair loses its luster. When your mane starts to feel rather dry and brittle, the best thing you can do is implement some easy fixes. And no, these don’t require a dozen haircare products or a complicated night routine!

    It’s Simpler Than You Think!

Though some products truly help promote healthy hair growth, many are extraneous tools. Believe it or not, regular hair trimming is the easiest and most effective method you can practice! Whether you wield the scissors yourself or take a trip to the salon for these cuts, damaged hair should be trimmed every six to eight weeks. If you have been on your haircare journey for a while now and notice fewer split ends and less dryness, these trims can happen three to four times a year. Any less often than this, and you risk poor hair health.

Poor hair health can be caused and prevented by simple, everyday actions. You must consistently care for your locks to avoid dry, brittle hair! This includes practicing regular trims, excellent basic hair products, and preventative styling measures.

    Extra Tips for Healthy Hair

Hair textures differ from person to person. Since haircuts are imperative to your individual health, you need to know how often you should get your hair trimmed according to your hair type. In addition, you should practice the following methods for maintaining healthy hair:

    • Avoid excessive heat styling and over-brushing: These can cause severe breakage and dryness.

    • Use hair oils with effective ingredients: Hair oils such as [REDACTED LINKED PRODUCT NAME] by [REDACTED] include key ingredients like peppermint, tea tree, geranium, Vitamins A and E, and other essential elements that help promote hair growth and health; hese aid hair nourishment and stimulation.

    • Maintain a healthy diet: Include proteins, zinc, iron, biotin, and Vitamins A, B, D, and E in your diet to keep your hair full and lustrous.

    • Protect your head from the elements: Excessive sun, heat, and debris can detract from your hair’s moisture and cleanliness.

    • Use cold or room temperature water when washing your hair: Hot water can damage your hair by opening the hair cuticles and exposing them to direct heat.

    • Change out your pillows and towels: Using a satin or silk pillowcase reduces hair breakage due to decreased friction. Drying your hair gently with a towel made from microfiber or satin also achieves this!

    • Use heat styling sparingly and carefully: Hair straighteners, curlers, and blow dryers can cause damage to your hair if used every day and without effective heat protectants.

    • Avoid tight ponytails: Looser hairstyles help prevent friction and subsequent damage. You can also use a scrunchy instead of a regular hair tie and avoid sleeping with wet hair in a tight ponytail.

    • Condition your hair correctly: Do not use conditioner on your scalp. Begin two inches away from the scalp and thoroughly work into your hair. Leave for a few minutes before rinsing.

    • Choose shampoo and conditioner that are right for you: Certain haircare formulas will better suit your hair type. Do your research and choose shampoo and conditioner that will maintain silky, healthy hair. Always use silicone and sulfate-free products!

    • Don’t wash your hair too often: Washing it daily dries it out. Try to wash your hair two to three times per week!

So… How Exactly Do Regular Trims Ensure Healthy Hair?

I’m sure you’ve heard your hair stylist emphasize the importance of regular haircuts for healthy hair, but in case no one has broken down exactly why these trims work, we’ve got your back. The science behind hair growth and health is pretty simple to understand.

Trims guarantee that the oldest part of each strand is cut before the strand can split, preventing breakage and frizz. You will start to notice split ends when your hair becomes dry, difficult to manage, and less glossy. Keeping your hair healthier by consistently removing the ends restores the hair strands and allows for proper growth. So, although it may seem counterintuitive, regular trims are essential for hair growth!

The Final Step to Hair Growth and Restoration: [REDACTED PRODUCT NAME]

Once your hair is trimmed and prepped to continue growing, treat your scalp to a hair oil infused with everything your hair desperately needs to improve its health. Using the right products can help your damaged hair return to its bouncy, lustrous state, and this can mean trims three to four times a year instead of every month or so! The [REDACTED LINKED PRODUCT NAME] by [REDACTED] is proven to help your hair.

From basic hair damage to extreme hair loss, [REDACTED] specially designed this oil to help all hair-related issues.
